Dr. Elizabeth Starmann

Social Scientist

Elizabeth spent 15 years working in Africa, Asia and Europe on gender equality and preventing violence against women at the United Nations and other organizations and is a co-founder of the Prevention Collaborative. These experiences, along with her doctoral research into how couples change, led to the realization that the challenges of being in relationship and the impact on our wellbeing are universal, as most of us go out into the world without developing good relationship skills. Today her work is dedicated to curating the growing body of evidence on relationship skills and exploring ways to help individuals learn better tools for being in relationship—with intimate partners, friends or family.
