We are excited to wlecome a number of new speakers for the second annual 2011 Wisdom 2.0 Conference in Silicon Valley, including Jon Kabat-Zinn and Jack Kornfield.

Jon Kabat-Zinn is internationally known for his work as a scientist, writer, and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into the mainstream of medicine and society. He is Professor of Medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he was founding executive director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, and founder (in 1979) and former director of its world-renowned Stress Reduction Clinic. He is the author, among many other books, of the best-seller Whereever You Go, There You Are.

Jack Kornfield trained as a Buddhist monk in the monasteries of Thailand, India and Burma. He has taught meditation internationally since 1974 and is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West. Over the years, Jack has taught in centers and universities worldwide, led International Buddhist Teacher meetings with the Dalai Lama and worked with many of the great teachers of our time. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is a husband, father and an activist. He is the author of numerous books, including A Path with Heart.

Both Jon and Jack have a wealth of experience in the subject of mindfulness in daily life, and we are thrilled to have them join us this year as we explore living with mindfuness, meaning, and wisdom in our modern, technology-rich lives.
